The painting depicts the natural force of a volcanic eruption. The glowing lava in orange and glowing red colour bursts from the depths of the mountain.
The researcher Isaac Newton divided the rainbow colour gradient into units.
In this way Newton’s colour circle was created. This consists of the colours of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. In the rainbow project I searched for these colours in nature and worked out abstractedly with the medium encaustic. Colour pigmented wax and resins are melted and applied in layers on top of each other. This project consists of 30 pictures.
This painting is an original. There are no copies or replicas.
